Terms of use

These terms govern your use of this website and any paid services offered through it by BrightLabs Infrasoft Solutions Private Limited (“we”, “us”), a company registered in India. By using the site or purchasing a service you agree to them.

1. What these terms do not cover

The agi-cos software is released under the MIT Licence, and nothing here restricts the rights that licence gives you. If any part of these terms conflicts with the MIT Licence in respect of the software, the licence prevails. These terms apply to this website and to services we sell, not to your use of the source code.

2. The self-hosted software is not a service

When you run agi-cos on your own infrastructure, we operate nothing, host nothing and can see nothing. There is no uptime commitment, no support obligation and no service relationship, because there is no service — you are running a program on your own computer. It is provided as-is under the terms of the MIT Licence.

3. Paid services

We may offer paid support and a managed hosted instance. Where we do, the specific scope, price and any response commitments are those set out in the written agreement or order confirmation between us. Prices shown on this site are indicative and may change; the price that applies is the one confirmed to you at purchase.

4. You are responsible for what your company does

agi-cos runs AI agents that read, write and execute against systems you point them at, using model providers you configure with your own credentials. You are solely responsible for:

• The instructions you give it and the permissions you grant its employees
• The code, content and communications it produces, and anything you act on
• Compliance with the terms of every model provider you configure
• Any laws that apply to your use, including data protection and export control
• Reviewing output before you rely on it, deploy it or send it to anyone

The product is deliberately built so that work cannot be recorded as complete without a review, and so that a message cannot reach a client without approval. Those are controls for your benefit. They are not a substitute for your judgement, and they are not a warranty that the output is correct.

5. AI output

Output generated by language models can be wrong, incomplete, biased or infringing, and can appear confident while being none of those things. We make no representation that any output is accurate, fit for a purpose, original, or free of third-party rights. Verify anything that matters.

6. Acceptable use of this website

Do not attempt to gain unauthorised access to it, disrupt it, scrape it in a way that degrades it for others, or use it to distribute malware or unlawful content.

7. Intellectual property

The software is MIT licensed. This website, its copy, design and the agi-cos and BrightLabs marks are ours and are not covered by that licence. See the licence page for what you may and may not do with the name and mark.

8. Sponsorship

Voluntary contributions made through this site fund the project’s development. They are not a purchase of goods or services, do not buy features, priority or any licence beyond the MIT one you already have, and are not tax-deductible donations. See the refund policy.

9. No warranty

To the fullest extent permitted by law, this website and the software are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or business interruption, arising from your use of the site or the software.

Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, our total aggregate liability is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or INR 1,000. For users of the free self-hosted software, who have paid us nothing, this means our liability is limited to that amount.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud, or for anything that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be reflected in the date at the top of this page. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of the courts of Hyderabad, Telangana, India have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
